AUSTIN, Wednesday, April 10 – The Reliable Energy Alliance (REA) announces today that
Ozona CCS LLC (Ozona) has joined REA’s Board of Advisors. Ozona, based in San Antonio, Texas, helps create a reliable energy future through the use and deployment of carbon capture technology.

As a member of the Board of Advisors, Ozona will bring its unmatched expertise to REA in its efforts to increase affordable energy in Texas and enable the broad deployment of carbon capture and sequestration.

“Ozona is proud to join REA’s Board of Advisors to lend its support and technical expertise in advancing the deployment of carbon capture and sequestration in the State of Texas.  Carbon capture technologies are the most cost effective and actionable method to ensure clean and reliable energy.  REA already has an impressive group of individuals working to educate our State leaders and policymakers and Ozona is eager to join them in their efforts,” said Eric Friedrichs, Ozona’s co-CEO.

Ozona is one of the only groups in the new carbon capture and sequestration space that has actually permitted, designed, built, and operated CO2 injection facilities. Ozona’s team has extensive experience in land and mineral rights, petroleum engineering, geology and petrophysics, regulatory permitting and compliance, financing, constructing, and operating pipelines, wells  and injection facilities, which are all necessary for carbon capture and sequestration.

“I am certain Ozona’s contributions to REA’s Board of Advisors will help the alliance with its mission to educate leaders and build consensus with key stakeholders on carbon storage, carbon management, hydrogen generation, and an offsets credits market in Texas,” said Susan Combs, Director of the Board of Advisors.

“We welcome Ozona and look forward to its partnership in REA’s mission. Its expertise will be valuable for building consensus on our key issues as we continue our engagement with many of Texas’ leaders in the energy and power industries,” said Corby Robertson, Jr, Chairman of the Board of Advisors.
